This is the backstory behind the way this famous line was delivered. The late great screenwriter Nora Ephron was so generous with giving credit where it was due.

This is the actual scene in which the line is delivered after Rob Reiner coaches Meg Ryan. It’s one of my favorite romantic comedies, ever.
